Banff - Rocky Mountains

Days on the Road: 24

Okay, here another example how things can work out to perfect.

Today was the first time I Hitch-hiked with Company. I was joined by Eva from Czech Republic. Hitch-hiking with two obviously slims down your chances of pick up. We waited at a spot near the Hostel where we got drooped of by the Shuttle.
There was a Thunderstorm in the Weather forecast and it was kind of scary when the sky started to go dark.
We where standing at a rest area which was 1 km from the next Intersection with the Highway.
So after maybe 40 min. of unsuccessful thumb holding, i wanted to move closer to the City of Jasper just in case hell would break loose. At 500 m there was a broken Truck. So we walked the 1 km to the intersection. Upon our arrival we figured the spot was bad. Since hell was still not loose, Eva decided more or less to go back. From the distance we saw a small red car near the broken Truck. It took us some time to get there. But when we arrived we approached the Car. There was a young woman (Sorry i already forgot the name) who was very brave, travelling by her own for 7 month throughout all the world.
She was joined by her Father Boun (both from France: Strasbourg) for 4 weeks and they where on a massive road trip.
The best part was not that they drove as all the way save to our destination, no they even stopped at almost all good places along the way ;)
We even took a massive hike out to the Glaciers.

But what strikes me most, there was this 1 Km. It was my decision to start walking and her decision to walk back that brought us exactly in the middle at 500 m where we catched our ride. I guess that's the Universe at work!

We will be camping along the way, so I might be offline for a couple of days!
