I am taking a Lunch break in Bandon so I got 5 min. to write.
Olympia was super nice. I can recommend this small but lovely city to anyone.
I left Olympia on Friday, with the news of an upcoming rain front which was supposed to be staying for 2 days. My second Couchsurf host in Olympia drove me out to the Highway. I catched some very good and fast rides. One old men even gave me 50$ and invited me for dinner. But I missed the point of stoping hitchhiking and so I ended up in the middle of no where.
I was lucky to find a place to camp just right in time. On the next morning I finally was "pulled over" by a US Cop, but he turned out to be super friendly. I ended up getting dropped of in Lincoln City, which is I guess the longest town in the World.
I had to walk through it but when I finally reached the end and had a good spot, it started to rain. My mind was already on its way back in to town, when Libby who was celebrating here birthday with three of here Friends waved me over. Then they took me to the next City, where i was Invited for a Beer. I then learned that the US has some very nice and tasty beers besides Bud-Light. After that I even got Invited for the Birthday dinner and they offered me a place to sleep. So I unofficially Couchsurfed their home. I had a great time with great people at a great place. On the next morning they where so nice to drop me off where they picked me up, and withing 2 min I got a ride. I later was even picked up by two woman with two little children, which will most likely be the one time exception. But again I failed hard again to quit hitchhiking at the right time and ended up in Coos Bay which is a boring place.
This morning was hard to catch a ride, because of the rain. But right now there is Sunshine
so I will head out right away into the sunny south ;)

Cheers
