Well here I am. Guatemala City! I heard lots about Guatemala that its cheap, that its poor and that it is beautiful. Nature wise I can agree but its totally different than what I imagined from all the stories I heard. But first: I stayed in Tapachula for 3 days, but it was kind of boring, the City did not appeal to me at all. But my host was nice, and took me to go out every night. His mom was challenged but managed to create a Vegan meal every day for me and was happy to satisfy me over and over. There where staying 7 people with me on 50m² but it was funny. I left on Sunday morning and planed to take the Bus to Guatemala City at 7. But the night before I feel asleep on the bed of my Host accidental and he did not wake me up. So I did not set my Alarm clock. But if things are meant to be than everything works out perfectly. I woke up by myself with no reason at 5:20 in the morning (this never happens naturally!!) I was still very tired and set my alarm to sleep another 20 min. I got up and packed all my stuff. I woke my host up and he waved me down a Taxi outside the house. I reached the Bus station at 6:50. I did not really check before how much the bus was, but I was lucky again. I had 300 pesos left and the bus was 220. After 20 min we reached the Guatemala border. When I entered Mexico I actually had to pay 28$ which I did not had at the time. They said back then I had to pay when I leave the country. At the border Checkout the guy points out to the sign that says 280 pesos and that I should pay. I don´t have enough money again and pretend I don´t understand what he wants. He is kind of pissed and hands me back my Passport. I free to go to Guatemala. I walk over to the Guatemala Checkpoint. I don´t have any Quetzal (currency of Guatemala) but again I am lucky, there is the Girl from Austria again that I met before, she gives me the 10 Quetzales I need. I am in. We drive for 4 hrs. and Guatemala looks very nice. I arrive at the bus station, and I only have a phone nr. of my host, and I have no money. But Magdalena from Austria helps me out again, and I can change my last pesos for Quetzales. I have no idea where to go or where I am. I start walking and find a phone. I reach my host and waste all my coins, but I get an address. I go to the Metro. I ask the Metro officer how to get to my station. I get it, but dont have any coins to pay for the Bus. He looks around and wants me to go through without paying anything!! I am amazed and can´t believe it. Just when I want to go through a guy comes up to me and just gives me the change that I need. WOW I can´t believe it, Germans need a slice of this kindness! I take two metro buses and then start to walk for 1 hr. I walk through the Favelas, I ask on every corner, and I find the place at the first attempt. I am blown, everything work out just more than perfect, and again I meet the right people at the right time in the right place. My host takes me out. We visit a friend of him, he is kind of a famous fashion designer. (Why do I meet all these artists along my way, still looking for the meaning of that) We have some nice dark ale. When we get home I was super tired and sleeping like a baby!
