Vancouver City

Okay, now I have been here a couple of days, but the weather is kind of bad.
It was good on the first day, but unfortunately we could not see to much of the City.
But yesterday we took the bikes and made a long ride trough Downtown and around the Vancouver peninsula. This was a realy amazing drive (Video) even there was almost non Sunshine.
On the bad side I totally ripped one of my two pants apart on the Bike which forced me to invest in a new one. In addition to that the price of food is keeping down my mood. Food is so expensive here every time I end up with the Cashier I am shocked. You kind of have to imagine that almost every product costs +-5$ So for example yesterday I bought some stuff to make pasta along with some Almond milk and 3 Avocado which cost me 44$ (32€). Since I am hitchhiking and Couchsurfing I don´t spend to much money on useless stuff, but this food prices will drive me crazy. For 32€ I can buy food at "Aldi" for two weeks, but here they don´t even have Food "Discounter" ;) Anyway to all of you who live in Germany be very happy with the cheap food, you can eat very good for a low price!
Yesterday in the evening there was a Private Party the host was German and I met some more Germans there. I don´t know if it was the Alcohol, but i realised I feel more comfortable speaking English than German. It was actually the first chance in a long time to speak German again and it felt unnatural and I had a hard time getting my sentences together.
But it was a lot of fun. But just now another German, from Stuttgart ;), arrived at my Couchsurfer. I was actually trying to avoid meeting Germans because I did not travel couple of thousands of km to meet Germans again ;) No offense my fellow Germans but sometimes there needs to be a change ;)
I was pretty sure to go to Vancouver Island, but at the moment I am kind of struggling because it will take about 1-2 weeks to come around and in that time I will spend a lot of money. Instead I could spend that money while going down the US west coast which would bring me a long way.
At the moment I am even to scared to look at my bank account and see the disaster I have created ;)
So since it is raining today I have some time to think about... have a nice day
