Holla!
For those who didn´t knew, while staying in Mexico City I had the thought that I might skip all South America and instead take my time in Asia. Mainly because of money. But the morning I intended to go to to the Airport to catch a Flight to Tokyo Japan, I woke up sweating and with the strong feeling I should stay in Mexico and Continue as planed. So I bought my self a Map and got a nice Haircut for 3€ from the master himself :) I left on the next morning very early taking the Mexico City Metro bus. I had to wait more than 1 hr. until there was a Bus with enough space to fit me and my Bag in. We drove another hr. until we reached the outskirts of Mexico City. Once out i tried to figure where the Highway was. I was holding my thumb out at a very perfect spot, but after 5 min. 3 Police cars where setting up a Checkpoint right in front of me. So I had to move down the Highway. I crossed the next Intersection, and was still walking, looking for a good spot, when a car pulled over. Turned out another Couchsurfer named Lia. She was going to Cuernavacas, for the Vernissage of her good Friend. Very quick I was invited along. Facing a night in the rain with my crap Tent I accepted. And wow, what an evening. Free drinks, and very good food, and some really nice people. I had a fantastic day. Next day I had to continue from Cuneravacas. I was sadly dropped at the beginning of the town, and I had to do a lot of walking. Got two small rides to the next Exits, and then Finally a ride to the end of the town. After stocking up with food I had to do a lot more walking. Only very shitty positions and cars where going really fast. And people look upon you as if you are an Alien wearing a Ballet costume. Seems like most of them have never seen a Hitchhiker, let alone a European. At least my presence makes them all smile. I guess that day i made at least 1000 people happy. :)
After walking a couple of kilometers, and a heavy rainstorm right in my back, I was already preparing in my mind to sleep under the bridge, when a car stopped like 200 meter behind me. A very lovely couple took me along all the way to Chilpancingo, 80 Km out of Acapulco. They where very ind and drove me all the way through the City leaving me at the exact end of the town. But when I got out it started to rain very heavy. I waited 3 hours in the Gas station, hoping for the rain to Stop. But that did not happen. when it was almost 12 in the night I made my way across the street to the Hotel I spotted earlier. It was my first time since i started my trip that i checked in to a Hotel, but there was no way that I could set up my tent in this rain. Booking was tough because my Spanish sucked and the woman at the reception could not speak English. That would have not been a big problem, but I did not have enough cash, and my Bank cards would get accepted. After maybe 1 hour she called somebody, I dno whom, but he picked me up and drove me to a Bank where I could restock on Cash. So when I finally got into my room it was already 1:30. The next morning I sleeped in a little bit. I hit the road around 11, and waited about 30 min. when a Mexican Family picked me up, they finally could not speak English, which made things quit interesting :) In the End they made a 30 Km detour to drop me of in Acapulco. My plan was actually to skip Acapulco because the Highways made a nice loop around the City and i would not have to go through. So i got of the Car and accidentally threw my nice map of Mexico in a puddle. My rescue attempt was to unfold that mega map on the Sidewalk, to let it dry by the Sun. I was waiting there maybe 3 min, when a car honked behind me. A very nice and friendly couple educated me that this is the unsafest and deadliest part of Acapulco. They work around the corner and told me they have not seen a non Mexican within 4 years in this area. They kind of persisted that I had to get in their Car, and they would drive me to the Bus station, for a safe way out of Acapulco. They came with me to the bus station and helped me buy a ticket which would only be at 11 pm. Since there was lots of time, they invited me for Lunch where they wanted to go anyway. We had a nice meal way out of the City at their friends house, with some refreshing drinks. On they way back they made a Hugh tour through Acapulco with lots of stops so I could take Pictures. They where like Angles send from heaven to save me. :) They dropped me of at the Beach where I did some walking and relaxing on the beach. The Bus ride was a joy, since I was sitting in the first row and could stretch out my legs. Today I did a lot of Walking and "discovered" this very lovely and small beach called puerto Anglo next to Puerto Escondido, where I spend the morning. I was also crouching through the Jungle, trying to find a good camping spot. But there is Military patrolling with M4 rifles all over the Place and I could not find a good spot in Walking distance. I ended up at another semi cheap Hotel, but after that walking and sweating i thought i deserved it. Had dinner on the beach while warm waves of Ocean water where massaging my feet. I guess that was the nicest place I have ever taken a meal!!

Cheers
