USA - Olympia

Here I am, in the USA. Olympia is a very nice city. But some may wonder how I got here because my plans where actually different :)

Yes I wanted to go to Vancouver Island and spend some time there. Everybody throughout Canada recommended me going there. While it was raining and cloudy the last few days in Vancouver, i kind of went through my travel "midlife crisis". I kind of didn´t want to move anymore and didn´t want to stay either. And it I had the feeling this would continue when I would go to Vancouver Island. In addition it would cost me at least an extra 200$ and since I already left enough money in Vancouver I decided to skip the Island. But that was short notice decision. I left my very kind host Raphael with the Intention to find the Ferry. But on my way there I got pissed of even more :)
I then gave my friend Donna, who I met couple of Weeks ago in Saskatoon, a call and I was lucky to stay at her place for one night while I made some plans where to go. She lived in one of these high rise buildings from where you have a nice view over the City.
While there I figured I would take the Bus to Olympia which would only be 37$ for 7 Hrs drive.
But looking at the maps Olympia would be my best shot because from here the "Highway 101", which is the scenic route along the coast, splits off. Because hitchhiking out of Vancouver and right in to Seattle and out again would be a big hassle I did not need during my Crisis.
So after thinking was done I went with Donna and some friends to a "Hip Hop Karaoke" which was very fun. There was not TV to read from and each performance would be free.
Surprisingly the performance from some of the woman where the best. I guess I missed something during the last years not following the scene. Anyway, we came home around 2:30 and I guess I only went to bed around 3:30 am. I had to get up at 6 am because I had to cross downtown to get to the Greyhound station and the Bus would leave at 7:45 am. When I finally woke up it was 6:30 and when I left the apartment it was already 7:00 am. That would be no problem if you would know where to go, but unfortunately I did not ;)
I just could not find the Bus station and i wondered around the blocks. They actually say you have to check in 30 min before departure, so when I finally found the Bus station it was already 7:30 and I making myself comfortable with my destiny.
A long sprint made me arrive at 7:40, but after some lectures that I should be accurate I had my tickets and made it to the Bus. From there one everything was easy. It was a perfect weather day, and when I arrived in Olympia I finally I had my Spring!!!! Since my winter got somehow extended by 1.5 month, I could see flowers, green leaves and the smell of Summer was in the air.
